Moyo Island is located north of Sumbawa. Island with an area of 32,044.86 hectares and has population of 1944 inhabitants (census 2010). The island has 2 (two) natural resevers which are a Marine Nature Park with an area of 6,000 hectares located on the south part of the island and Moyo Island Hunting Park (based on the decree issued by Minister of Forestry and Plantation no. 308/KPTs-11/1986 on 29 September 1986). These parks are managed by Natural resources Conservation Office of West Nusa Tenggara.

The hunting park is inhabited by wild cattle, wild boar and various species of birds such as Punglor (Zoothera sp), Koakiau (Philemon buceroides)
including endangered species such as yellow-crested cockatoo (Cacatua sulphurea), Gosong (Megapodius reinwartditii), Koakiau (Philemon buceroides), and Sumbawan parrots (Gracula venerate religiosa). Moyo island can be a great place for Bird Watching activities.
There are 2 (two) waterfalls in Moyo Island, Mata Jitu and Diwu Mba'i. These waterfalls are located near Labuan Aji village and can be reached by foot or by motorcycles available for rent at labuan village.
For those who love water activities, Moyo has many spots for snorkling and diving such as Ai Manis located on the south of the island and Labuan Aji reef located 15 minutes off Labuan Aji village.
